Festival Premieres!

Updated: Oct 29, 2021

Acid Test will be premiering in TWO festivals at the same time. Go big or go home, right?!

We are incredibly proud to be selected for the upcoming Austin Film Festival, where our short screened back in 2017. As a “writer’s” festival, with an emphasis on story, it means the world to me that our film met the festival’s incredibly high standards.

The same week, Acid Test will also be streaming with the Twin Cities Film Festival in Minnesota!

What you can do:

  • If can get to Austin, or know people in Austin, you can buy tickets to one of our two screenings at AFF: https://austinfilmfestival.com/festival-and-conference-aff/2021-full-schedule/

    • Sunday, Oct 24th @ 1:15pm, Galaxy Highland - Screen 5, 6700 Middle Fiskville Rd, Austin, TX 78752

    • Thursday, Oct 28th @ 12pm (noon), Galaxy Highland - Screen 4, 6700 Middle Fiskville Rd, Austin, TX 78752

    • Covid Protocols: you must show your vaccine card (photo is fine) to show you are fully vaccinated, OR a negative COVID test within 2 days of the event.

    • Please note: Formula 1 is also that weekend so there’s an accommodation shortage. If you have people to crash with, please do!

  • The Minnesota festival is geo-locked, but if you know anyone in the Minnesota area (and I believe Wisconsin as well), you can buy tickets to stream Acid Test online starting Thursday, October 21st! https://twincitiesfilmfest.org/tcff-2021/

  • When you see our social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, PLEASE SHARE/RETWEET with your own plug for the film!

  • Go to our IMDB page and leave a review and rate our film 7+ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12385296

We want to celebrate this moment with you all because you were instrumental to getting our film made, from the short film onward!

If you’re unfamiliar with the film world, you may not know but our industry is in the midst of union tensions over the treatment of crews on set. I’m so proud of how wonderful our cast and crew were, how respectful they were to each other, and how much we still want to make films together!

We are represented by publicist Kristen O’Brien. Press Release coming soon! We’re looking for good press opportunities and reviews!

Please help spread the good news and help us sell out our screenings! This will all help us as we pitch to distribution companies to bring the film to the wider audience.

In other news, we'll be bringing the film home to Houston to screen with the Houston Cinema Arts Festival which is such a thrill. Monday, November 15th 7:30 @ Rice Venue. Tickets available through link.
