We have a date for the table-read workshop of the feature film adaptation I’ve been working on since the fall…April 28th! We are making arrangements with our actors and putting together a fun event for those that contributed at the Be There! level and higher as well as special guests.
More announcements on who is coming back from the short film and who will be joining us for the other speaking roles coming soon!!!
In the meantime, I am so lucky to introduce you to Anna Tran who has come on board as a Producer’s Assistant to put this event together. Anna is a student at Houston Community College’s Filmmaking Program, where we met. She worked on the upcoming Giant Kitty music video that I directed and has become invaluable to me since mid-January. At HCC, Anna is focusing on Directing and she recently won the Women in Film and Television Hurricane Harvey Scholarship from the Dallas and Houston Chapters! A devoted storyteller with an organization streak, she has over 10 years in marketing, operations and film experience combined. Captivating characters, tone, and being entranced in a story are her biggest inspirations for film. In her free time, Anna enjoys yoga, camping and volunteer work.
It was such a wild ride crowd-funding for this in the midst of Hurricane Harvey last fall for Seed&Spark’s Hometown Heroes Contest and I am so excited to see the feature film start to come to life with this table-read and get the ball rolling to make this production a reality!
